It has been an interesting week to say the least. I am currently sitting in the Detroit airport waiting to board a flight to Japan. Tracy and Sean are in Cedar Rapids. I won’t see them again for almost two weeks. I made Sean promise not to change at all while I was gone.

On Thursday we traveled from New York to Iowa. Instead of just the normal two of us –w e had Sean and the dog. The whole experience probably looked quite comical. The good news is that everything went pretty smoothly.

Sean has got to meet a lot of his relatives in Iowa, including his Great Grandmother Maude (on my side). People seemed to like him.

I will be in Japan for almost two weeks. I have some meetings and will also be going to Osaka to meet with a realtor to look at some apartments. Tracy and I have our choices narrowed down to probably two – with one of them being the front runner. We hope it is as nice as it looks online (is it ever)?

Sean is doing great. The changes are coming daily. He is starting to smile and be a little more playful – although he generally is still a grumpy old man.
