A Transient Family

Pat and Tracy Carrothers, Riley the dog, along with the new addition Sean, are moving their headquarters to Osaka, Japan. The move will take place in the later part of July 2008.

Pat accepted a position as the Operations Manager at the new Corning Plant in Osaka (Link to Corning Press Release). The move provides an excellent opportunity for Pat to once again be a corporate superstar. Tracy will take the time to soak up all the fun motherhood provides, while also doing some creative career development. More information to follow on that topic. She also plans to maintain her North Carolina Bar license. It is certain she will also entertain herself by constructing silly press releases while Sean supervises from his swing.

Osaka, Japan is the world's ninth largest urban area and has been dubbed the "gourmet capital" of the nation. Pat, Tracy, Riley the dog, and Sean plan to dive into the culture, experiencing all it has to offer, while also developing connections with the other westerners living there. Tracy is already researching trips to Thailand and the Figi Islands. The Carrothers are hopeful the move provides a wonderful opportunity for family and friends to vacation in Japan.

Pat will begin to commute in April 2008, with the move being finalized in late July, providing the opportunity for Sean to make his debut at the McNeme family reunion.
